Weird sound problem
« on: September 19, 2019, 05:04:25 pm »

Hello. Not so long ago the sound in samp changed a bit for me. The effect is somewhat bareable, but i would prefer to fix it if i knew how.
In short:
-menu sounds as well as /count "chirps" became really quiet. There played correctly, but the sound level is really low
-shooting sounds became more bassy
-explosions contain only low tone part (only bass). By that i mean theres only *bwooh* and theres no cracking high pitch sound as there should be.
What i think has happened:
Windows 10 made an update which changed directx driver which supports legacy game in wrong way. Or changed another option which i cant find.

My current setup:
Windows 10, stereo mix off, software: Realtek HD Audio (please ask for more details)
!I have reinstalled both gta and samp!

Link for the sound (direct mp3 file, ill provide it in private message to anyone interested) - or share it here if im allowed
First i recorded basic car sounds for level comparision, then i spawn hydra and play the glitched explosions. Next i show menu sounds and again play normal sound.

If youre experiencing similar problem and/or know how to fix it, please let me know.

Man same exact thing happened to me.
I updated Windows 10 and now the sounds are exactly as you described.
I'd like to know a fix to this aswell.

Try deleting the file gta_sa.set in the GTA San Andreas User Files folder.

Try deleting the file gta_sa.set in the GTA San Andreas User Files folder.
Tried it, seems to just reset everything to default thought it fixed but doesn't seem like it.
